I have a trailer purchased and would hope some one on the forum will know something about it. It is a Trinity Trailer and the tag on the back of it says they are from Wichita, KS.

Does anyone know anything about the company? Have any opinions? It looks like a Cycle Mate. About the same size and has the smaller 8" tires.

I ordered a Hitch Doc hitch today and pick up the trailer this weekend. It will need to be rewired for the LT as the previous owner rewired it using some what less than OEM quality. It is cobbled together and I'll want to get in good order before I take it far.

By the way, where do I get the wiring harness with the Isolator? That is the way I should hook it up isn't it?

Anything you tell me about pulling a trailer would help, too. I have ran all over the country and never pulled anything behind a bike. I am planning a ride to Canada and Alaska in late May so I have time to practice. The Alaska trip is the reason to get a trailer. I like clean close and don't like stopping to do laundry. ;-))

I have short trip to Big Bend in late March planned and that will tell me alot about the bike.

I am not familiar with your trailer but somebody on this forum probably is,

You are correct in using an isolator relay on your LT you can get one from Dauntless or Bushtec

Never heard of 'em, but there are tons of small manufacturer's out there:

Hang out with the guys on the Delphi forum - nice bunch...

Pulling a trailer requires more vigilance, keep the speed down, keep the weight in the trailer down, (under 250 lbs. of cargo) and plan on double the stopping and acceleration distance and you'll do just great! ;-)

Just a suggestion Lewis -- I built my own trailer (but I would do the same with a store-bought) and before trying it behind the bike I hooked it to my car and "took it through the paces". This included high speed, swerving, gravel roads, potholes, washboard, etc. The last thing you want is "the tail wagging the dog".

Thanks Guys, the responses have helped. I hit the forums and the web site for the trailer manufactures and didn't see the one I was looking for. I got the lead I needed for the isolator and my hitch is on the way.

Again thanks and I'll be back as soon as I figure out what the next question is.
