I received an email from Laura at Techstar today telling me that the cable to connect my Zumo to the Starcom 1 intercom is available it is part number CAB-55 and costs $45+SH I ordered 2 and will report how they work when they arrive. I have the Starcom 1 on the GS and the Starcom 1 Advanced on the LT.
Now if Garmin updates the firmware, the Zumo will be a good GPS.

Well Tex, got a question for you. We have the Starcom on our LT and am somewhat happy with it. what advantages are you getting from the Starcom Advanced?

Starcom 1 Advanced
1) Additional Stereo input
2) Remote volume control
3) Passenger MIC sensitivity control ( This works very well)
4) Much smaller
Starcom 1
1) Battery
It has some other things that I don't use, I use the Starcom 1 on the GS, and have used it in my tankbag because it has a battery power option, the 9 volt battery will last all day (4-6 hours with music, much longer if its just the GPS, GMRS/FRS Radio and radar detector)
The best thing that the Advanced has is the remote volume control. Also being able to set the passenger mic sensitivity helps a lot because Cindy's Arai helmet it not a full-face so I hear wind noise on the Starcom 1.

sorry to ask a basic question, but which intercom system is standard equipment on a 2003 LT? and is there a cable that will plumb a 550 Zumo into it?
i've been wondering how to channel a stereo input from the GPS. i'm pretty sure the current cabling for my GPS is mono only.

Received the cable (CAB-55) from Techstar and it works great. My bluetooth phone works great, I get stereo from the GPS.
Thanks

Does anyone know if this cable will work with the VOICE II, standard intercom on the 07's? I've yet to find any cords to integrate my Zumo and am relying on bluetooth for the phone and no audio from directions.
