Yep, Chris' son, Willie, piloted the bike this time to their record. It's the same bike they used a few years ago to set an earlier record. SJBMW is getting really active in racing again. They won the initial Moto-ST endurance race at Daytona a couple of months ago running an R1200S (with a basically stock engine, upgraded suspension and race bodywork), beating the Valvoline M4 Emgo Suzuki team. They are running a series of WERA races with the S bike (same setup as above), and are building a truly race prepped bike to campaign in Moto-ST, WERA, and potentially some AMA Formula Extreme races this year, all with Brian Parriott at the helm.

If you get a chance to go see them run somewhere go check them out, it's great to see a BMW running on the track, and winning! :thumb:
