A Little Weekend Trip

I'm taking a trip this coming weekend, assuming the weather is a little warmer than it is right now here in north Texas, to the gulf coast, near Pascagoula, Mississippi. My church is sending me to inspect some work done on a house messed up by Katrina. So, I am combining a little work with a lot of fun, a 1400 mile round trip. I plan on leaving either Thursday about noon or very early Friday morning and returning Sunday and Monday. A lot of riding, some picture taking, and more riding. I'm interested in two things; 1) routes from Dallas to Pascagoula that are something other than I-20, and 2) anyone from DFW interested in a last-minute 1400 mile ride to the gulf coast? Right now it is me on the LT and a GW1800. PM me and I'll give you exact details. Thanks.

Now I have the word from the weather channel that it is supposed to rain all weekend for the entire trip. I'm putting it off at least a week. But thanks for the encouragement. This will be my longest trip so far.

I have some "advice".. don't forget to stop.. hahaha...

Otherwise, I'd run over to Nagcodoches, TX, Many, LA, Alexandria, Ferriday then Natchez, MS, Columbia, MS, Bogalusa, LA, then take 26 East through Poplarville, Wiggins, etc. to Benndale. MS where you pick up 57 South to I-10 just west of Pascagoula...

I do hope the brakes work just before I hit the gulf. Maybe the beach will have really thick sand. Thanks for the route advice. I'll take a look at it.
