Just finished installing an electrified wire to keep the dog from attempting to dig under the fence and escape. The whole backyard and the driveway are now wired.

Had to be creative as far supplying power and grounding. Got a 8' piece of copper rod that I cut to length = 4', a clamp to tie the wire to the rod. Drilled a couple holes through the garage wall to get both ground and power lead wires through to the control box. Insulated both wires as they went through the wall. Now just need to caulk the outside holes so they won't allow for bugs and water to get in the garage.

He already got zapped once. Poor thing.


Time to take the eldset to a movie. For some father and son time.

Is this your way of letting the HDDC know so that we don't get zapped while checking out the new wires in your yard? :D :D

Invisible fencing.. very effective... Until he learns how to defeat it.. just keep the batteries charged in the collar..

We got that first. Then realised that I couldn't get the coverage setting down to 2'. So off it went and got the exposed electric wire.

Had one of these many moons ago. They work.
