HID question

If I install the HID bulbs from the "group buy" (Thanks Grif) do I need to install updated software on my bike? I have a May 2006 GT with original software. 17k miles and no problems.

My kit came with the resistor required to keep the CANbus from shutting down the circuit. When ordering, make sure to mention needing the resistor and you should be fine.

Since I have 7.1, I'll be removing the resistor from my kit.
