The V-Rod is a whole different engine and transmission, so there shouldn't be any problems like the new ones are experiencing. jrlakin

No, people ask about HD vs BMW, or LT vs UC, or LT vs GW, or LT vs RT.......I don't believe they ask for a comparison between LT(a bike) vs HD (a manufacture).

If it makes you "feel better" about your non-HD choice of ride to start a thread with a link to 12 pages of HD "information", then I hope it made you happy.......

Ride what you like, like what you ride........deal with the problems in whatever way satisfies you, then ride some more......UC's, LT's, GW's, and RT's are all good bikes if they fit the ride criteria that's important to YOU.

Now lets talk about some real concerns.....when do I switch over to synthetic oil????? :)

This page was noted at some H-D Forums months ago and quickly refuted by many, many '07 owners who were experiencing ZERO problems. It isn't representative at all. It would be like me noting a clutch and electrical problem I had with my GS knowing a few others have experienced the same, maybe tossing in known BMW final drive problems, then painting a picture it was a common and univeral situation, which it isn't. BTW, have an '07 Road King and it is flawless.

It is a worthy aspiration! Used to have an '03 VRSCA and it was sweet. Miss it. The Night Rod Special below was declared the finest looking motorcycle on the street by BIKE (U.K) Magazine... noteworthy given the passion the editors there have for non cruising kinds of bikes. One might see this VRSCDX on the floor at a stray dealership, but at most places around the world, it is pre-order only. A big hit for Milwaukee.

Yes, imagine that. I guess to your disappointment. You'd have to ask the H-D owners replying how many miles and one can clearly see it isn't representative from the H-D message threads.

It just goes to show that the MoCo is still up to old tricks...just like the TC88 issues that were plowed under. the fact that Baker had to make a fix for the tranny is reprehensible and frankly very believeable.

Just going with what I read. Yes, lots of us own more then one motorcycle and/or brand. SO ?? Oh, and I bought the first of many HD's in 1968 (XLCH-remember that sprung seat :( )They all have problems, they all are fun.

Agreed, they all have problems. My LT`s in the shop right now getting a new clutch installed. My Harley has never needed a clutch, but then they`re is a very good chance my LT will never need lifters, coil, stater or the top end re-done at 50,000 mi. just to name a few. After spending the last five years riding with the harley crowd, including my wife. I`m finding a good portion to be very judgemental where my BMW is concerned. I personally consider the BMW to be a far superior motorcycle after now having experienced both. How ever a persons ride is a personal matter and I try very hard not to be on the offensive towards another persons choices unless their`s just a little fun involved with friends.
