I finally collected enough time and stuff to start on farkles for my GS. I started with a 2007 Yellow GS.
1) 2006 Blue Plastic Panels
2) Vario Luggage & Top Box
3) Wire Wheels
4) BMW Engine Guard

The next step was to add a little protection for the rider(me).
1) GIVI Wind Screen
2) BMW Wingletts (I used well nuts to install these)
3) Touratech hand guard extensions

Now it was time to strip to bad boy and add:
1) BMW Accessory outlet
2) Touratech power panel for CANBUS
The way I connected this the accessories connected will stay on for about 30 seconds after you turn off the key.

I constructed a mount for my Zumo GPS using an Crab Plate (available at BassPro or any Marine Supply) and bolts from Touratech.

Next was to mount the Sirius radio and the Escort Radar detector.

Now it is time to hook it all up to power and to the Starcom 1 and test the funtionality before we route everything and terminate it to the correct lenght. I had to add a ground-loop isolator on the radar detector lead, and modify the the cables for the Zumo (I am waiting for production cables from Techstar).

Now I cut most of the cables to length and re-terminated them after routing them along the frame. Everything is wrapped in friction tape and tie-wrapped to the frame. I made a plate the fits where the tool kit normally is that I attached the Starcom 1 via 3M T-Lock (works better than Velcro for this).

I did each device one at a time and retested everything each time, this way I would know that it was this cable termination or something about this device that was causing the problem. I routed the power cables so that the inline fuses were accessable under the small side panels that just pop off. Then it was time to button everything back up and go ride.

Your progress looks great. I only have one question? Why did you buy a yellow bike and change it to blue?
It's been 5 weeks since the cage zombie hit me and my new baby right out of the dealership. The good news is that auto driver's insurance company finally admitted fault and we're now moving on to the dance about damages.
Instead of draining my bank account on farklizaiton  and breaking her in for a summer trip :bmw: , I'm living vicarously through your posts.

When the Blue gets beat up I can switch it back to Yellow. I really wanted a blue one but they didn't make it in 2007 but the dealer had swapped a Blue one to be Red so he sold me the bike by giving me the Blue panels, I would have probably bought it anyway. :bmw:
