I live in NW Missouri and was excited to see CCR 2007 in Tan Tar A.
My wife & I have a 2004 LT and we are blessed to have great neighbors who also have a LT.
I'm not too sure what to expect, but we are really looking forward to it.

A great time....

Last year was our first CCR. Lindy and I.

It'll be a thing for us from now on as long as we can make the trip..

This group while quite diverse has a common "vibe" that just can't be denied..

I always love hearing about the first-timers coming to CCR.

You can see who else is coming by looking at the attendee page at:

http://www.curvecowboyreunion.com/attendees.htm

One of the best ways to meet other people at the reunion is to volunteer to help at the welcome desk or the merchandise table. You can volunteer on the site at:

2006 was my first CCR. Here are things you should expect, in no uncertain order:

one or more group rides to dinner
day rides on interesting roads in the area; routes determined and maps preprinted and ready to go when you register
plenty of opportunities for "pick-up" rides with other attendees
enjoying the host hotel's amenities: spa treatments for SO (or yourself), swimming pools, etc.
opportunity to buy CCR merchandise (shirts, jackets, hats, etc.)
opportunity to get some real bargains at the silent auction
vendors on site all week; lots of chances to get farkles installed
BMW dealer on site (this happened in 2006, and I'm assuming it happens every year); great chance to get service done, tires, accessory installs, etc.
reception banquet the first night
awards banquet and great entertainment the final night
meeting lots of great people who share a love for riding -- most of them on the K1200LT
You're going to have a great time. :bmw:

But...but...but...you live far too close to be that excited. ;)

I think the CCR experience is very different to a lot of people. Chances are very high that you'll find some other LT owners that are like you, and you'll have a great time.

This will be my 4th CCR in a row. Must be a good reason why I keep going.

This is my first CCR. Jan and I are really looking forward to it. Ironically, I got my 2002 LT the week before the CCR last year in Braselton. I LIVE 2 MILES FROM CHATEAU ELAN!!!!! I didn't know anything about CCR then. Bummer.....

I've planned my 1st CCR to be in 2009 - only 2 years away now, shipping my bike from the UK - still possibly planning to go back 'the other way round' (part of our 'round the world trip'). If the RTW turns to ratshit, CCR2009 will be part of a few weeks ride in the States & Canada (you've gotta have a backup plan).
