Happy New Year everyone....I am getting ready to install my aux plug for IPOD and before I do have a question. I have the six disc in the trunk and the single uo front. I'll be removing the 6 disc in the trunk for room. When I install the aux plug will I loose the use of both CD players?

TIA

David,

If you are talking about the aux cable that plugs into the back of the radio unit, no. It uses the same port that the VOICE II intercom uses and has no effect on CD usage. Of course if you remove the six CD changer that position will not be selectable on the radio display, it will just skip it. The internal will still work fine and the six CD will function again if you replace it.

Just installed the plug in the rear of my 05'LT it has no effect on the CD player only works on the AUX. I plug the i-Pod in and use a i-Jet to controll the i-pod works great.

Could you be more specific in this thread? Which cable did you purchase, and where did you plug it in? I'm aware of the i-jet, just curious what you're using to ge tthe tunes in.

Thanks,

Robert

Hmmm - I just cut a power cable & spliced it in to the radio power, and use the AUX plug on the intercom. While I don't have external control of the iPod, it works fine for me... total cost was $5.25 and an hour of time..
