I am thinking about doing the motodiscovery guided tour of Costa Rica. http://www.motodiscovery.com/tours/camerica/costaricaguided.html
It is pretty expensive....so does anyone have any knowledge/opinions.
I will be riding 2 up. I know it has a small amount of dirt roads.
But in the end is the experience worth the price of over $4000 plus airfare?

I can't comment specifically on the bike tour but Costa Rica is well worth the trip. It has been several years since my last visit, at that time many of the roads on the west coast, outside of the tourist areas, were gravel.
It's a beautiful country and the people are very friendly. We rented a car in San Jose and visited friends in Dominical. The car was covered in dust when we returned it. The state of the roads may have something to do with the cost of the trip.

Give Skip Mascarro at MotoDiscovery a call. He'll spend as much time with you as you want talking about the various tours.

My 'tour' of CR was on a dual-sport tour with some buddies so I cant really comment on the roads, just the country. I really want to go back. It is beautiful and the people are very friendly. If this is one of Skip's tours, I think the $4k takes care of virtually everything. Airfare can be a killer though, check the options very carefully.
