A buddy of mine who has ridden Harleys for quite a while has been eyeing my LT so a few days ago he rented a 1200RT and we spent the day riding. We switched bikes a few times and he preferred the LT but still liked the RT. Went to look at an LT at Irv Seavers yesterday and also looked at an 04' 1150RT with only 3K on it. Today we went back so he could test ride the RT, he liked it much better than the 1200 after the test ride he made an offer and after we got home they called up and accepted it. So Tuesday I am going to ride him down there so he can bring his new RT home. This bike was better than a new one, not a scratch, side bags and top box painted to match bike, tank bag still wraped up in the plastic even had that new bike smell to it (burning plastic!) He can't wait to go on a trip without being beat up at the end of the day as he does on the Harley. Here is a pic of it.

A warm welcome to your buddy from our little web site. I hope he becomes a member.

Well todays was the big day. Got a call from Steve and he got the cash and was ready to go, so I go over and pick him up and were off to Irv Seavers, beautifull day about 75 degrees.

OK, so I'm not the only one who was wondering, especially for a 45 mile "ride." :histerica

That first photo may have been of the two of them sitting b-style on the first bike.

He did ride "B" to the dealer (45 miles) and I did my best to scare the crap out of him, but all he could think about was the RT.

That's what he told you he was thinking about.

Seriously, though, did he ever wipe that big smile off his face (referring to the new scooter, not the b-ride), or is it going to require plastic surgery?

We did a fifty mile jaunt this afternoon and he's still all smiles, and he normally doesn't smile much!

It's not my favorite thing but when I bought my bike I rode 198 miles one way on the back of a Gold Wing 1500 to pick it up and then I had someone to ride back with.
