Getting harder to find, but worth the trip.

Found this old wooden bridge a couple of years ago,
then couldn't find it again, was afraid it had been paved over.
Stumbled upon it again, the guard rails are new.

Hey Hans... that reminds me of some nice places in Louisiana... much of it doesn't have roads over it... have to see it by boat.

Thanks for the shots... sometimes I do miss home...

Your pretty clever my friend! :~) but you still haven't told us how to find that road that you so beautifully photographed?

Come on, you gota share........ Looks like a nice destination into what was once old Florida. I remember as a kid , driving with my parents from Southern WV to Miami and crossing bridges that had warning signs stating that you were crossing at your own risk. Looks familiar.

It's not that I didn't want to share,
it just took me a while to figure out how to do it,
There's a little conflict, my Nav II has the Lat/Lon as
27.14.25.3 by 081.59.19.8
but for some reason that doesn't correspond with the numbers on Google earth, which are:
27.13.15.14 by 081.59.12.51
The road is just a little bit from Arcadia and I was finally able to attach this map segment by first printing then scanning it, there must be a better way?

Hey Hans, Here's a helping hand for ya. Happy New Year!!!!

Oh yeah, the distance from US-17/FL-70 intersection to the bridge according to Delorme is 8.27 miles.

Looks like a nice out of the way ride for my next trip to Naples.

On the way home from yesterdays RTE I tried to find some roads I haven't ridden on before,
heading East from Frostproof I got on County line road which is about due for some repaving.
When I crossed over SR17 it got narrower until I found this little bridge,

like going back in time 50+ years

See, I learn something new every day! Thanks, Hans!
From your pictures I now know that FL has at least TWO curves in the middle of at least one road!
Whod'a thunk it!!;) ;) :histerica

Jay, come on down sometime,
I'll show you some roads that you would never think you could find in Florida,
oh and did I mention it was 80 degrees yesterday :rotf:

Can't wait to check them out on my next trip down south. Looks like the "old" Florida.
