While my GS in the shop for repairs, I'm considering some changes and adding farkles. In particular, I want to get some input on replacment windscreens, crash bars, and tank bags.

So far, this is my short-term list:
* TPS 15 CANbus helper
* Brake! LED taillight
* LED turn signals - Touratech
* Xenon HID headlight mod
* Crashbars
* PIAA 540's (mounted on the crash bar)
* Oil Cooler Guard
* Tank bag
* Jesse rear compartment
* Upper front fender extension
* Adjustable foot pegs/shift lever and Brake Lever Extension
* Sidestand plate

In a few months
* Rick Mayer seat (heated?)
* Jesse bags (haven't decided between Safari and Odessay) and solo plate
* Garmin GPS (model and mounting TBD)
* Handlebar risers (maybe)
* Windscreen enhancement or replacement

Windscreen - Givi was the best for me, just a hair bigger than the Adventure screen. I tried a Cee Bailey and a Z Tech the Givi is the best by far. Also get the Adventure wind wings ( total cost about $60) the work wonders.

Crash bars - Hepco Becker, the best coverage.

Tank Bag - Chicane! Outstanding bag.

The rest of your list is on the mark, but I went with Hella FF50's driving and fog - two sets on one light bar, over and under - Works great!
I Love my Rick Mayer too!

Might add the Baehr Blackline communicator to your list - small and works great.

Thanks John. Is there a bluetooth headset that can be fitted into a helmet and interfaced with a Baehr Blackline communicator?Windscreen - Givi was the best for me, just a hair bigger than the Adventure screen. I've also been thinking about these risers because they have built in taps for RAM mounts.

Anybody have experience with them? ... please comment.

I purchased the tallest version of those risers. They are well made and pretty to look at, but they are not a good visual match with the styling of the 12GS. They look out of place on the bike. I sold my set and bought these: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/2712/252/

I just purchased a set of Micatech panniers after a long and difficult decision making process. They arrive next week. My Fastway foot pegs get 4 stars. I had a Rick Mayer seat on my FZ1- Great seat, but think I'll try a Russell for the 12GS.

I installed a inexpensive set of PIAA "40 round" lights. Excellent performance for the money. Other stuff installed:

* Bestrest oil cooler guard
* Centech AP1 fuse block
*Ventura pack rack
* Tailblazer brake light modulator
* Cee Bailey +6"

Don't know if you ride 2 up but if you do s Stealth Backrest is a must for the passenger. I have one in mint condition for $300 plus shipping.

I agree the GIVI with the GSA Wings works great.

MarkNice feature, but I never ride two up.

I asked my wife out for a first date while sitting on my Magna. She said yes, but informed me that she would never ride on a motorcycle again (two crashes when she was a teen).
