Fresh Air Barbeque (http://www.ama-cycle.org/barbecue/freshair.asp)

We're got a paticipation event included in this little git together, so let's see how many folks we can get there. In case of inclement weather, coming by any means other than the scoot is totally acceptable. http://www.smileymania.at/Happy/smileymania.at_00469.gif

Great, you're finally doing an RTE on one of the few days that I can actually make a RTE, but I will be traveling on business!
Where is Floville anyway?

Where is Floville anyway? What's the matter, can't you Google (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Jackson,+GA) Flovilla, GA? ;) And it actually closer to Jackson than Flovilla. On the right as you head from Jackson to Flovilla.

Well that is less than 2 hrs from me and the OH says it depends on the weather. She won't ride in the wet or the cold. So the outlook at the is point is MAYBE.

If you have any inkling that you're going to come, please, please go to the list and sign up. That way we'll know how many to plan for and try and getting seating for all of us close together. Just copy the list from a post and add your name to the bottom.
So far we're at 8 and 2 maybes.

Was kind of hoping there would be a mass turn-out on a weekend event. Like a lot of others, I have voiced my two cents on why we could not have at least a few weekend meets occasionally. If we don't get a few more people the weekday only gatherings will be hard to object to. I know everyone has other things happening in their life and prior plans, but it is nice to meet other riders whenever possible. Plus we are talking BBQ, hopefully great BBQ!!!!!
May we never find the end of the road!

It is easy to meet others up here, there are always a few LT's running around the N GA mountains.
Also at adventure riders they have a meet about every week in the atlanta area, we just had one lunch up here in Dahlonega not long ago, I think 13 bikes showed up for that lunch and some had a ride before lunch

When John and I talked about our first RTE/RTMs we said one north, which we did last Wednesday and one south, which is this weekend. So, well schedule another one soon. Probably on a week night again. ;)

It is nice to get out during the week, it's pretty hard for us to get to do it though as by the time the SO gets home it's too late, some of the week night ones we have attended were in the northern corridor of 400 ya know only a hour or so each way frolm the house.
Wish you could had made it up for the saturday lunch ride to the Corkscrew cafe it was good food!!
I'll do another in the spring and we will take over the back pavillion maybe eat lunch on our bikes <grin>

Please let me know when the next "adventure rider" gathering is. I am a member of the adventure riders forum but I have never seen gatherings other than the ones at the 'Vortex" at five points. I was able to swing an early retirement so I now have the time to meet anytime.
May we never find the end of the road!

Well it is over and done and I think we had a good time. We had total count of 19 from a Saturday afternoon. Let's see if I can get all the names: Janie and John johnrehder, Keith kaygee Greer, Gilda and Jay jayz9705 Slomka, Perry oknplm, Cheri, Ryan, Karla and Tristan Ridgeway, Cindy and John JCarver Carver, Sue and Bill BillSue Carver, Dennis Dix42 Dixon, Bill Harvell, Greg Gruivis, and Connie and Steve Steve_R Rowe. Seems the food suited everyone as there weren't any left overs.
After a little discussion, it seems that we have done a RTE/RTM on a weekend since April 24, 2004. If you want read about that I'll fated day, go here (http://www.bmwlt.net/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=RideTales&Number=152002&Search=true&Forum=All_Forums&Words=Steve_R&Match=Username&Searchpage=32&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=152002). For those that were around then, that was my first ride report on Red Rover. If I have anything to do with it, we won't wait another two years for another RTE.
Thanks to all those that showed up. Tom and Karen we missed you, but we understand running short on time.

Folks:
Cindy and I had a good time, great to meet more of the people on here. The ride in was good, the fellowship was great, the food was quite good, and the ride back home quite nice. I'll post my pics later on my webshots. Once they are up I'll let you know.

Thanks Steve for posting the pictures. By the way, good call on Tristan's picture. He is the center of attention for me.
Here is the web site for the "Big Pig Jig" we were discussing.

If everyone is still interested we can have a middle Georgia gathering later this year. Maybe even some of the Florida riders can come up and join us.
May we never find the end of the road!

I'd like to apologize to everyone for leaving so soon. While outside , Harvell got a call from his wife about a family emergency. Instead of letting him find his way home I went with him. Mabe next time I can stay a little longer. I enjoyed meeting everyone. It was a nice turnout.
