Looking at purchasing a 2001 r1100s tomorrow, with showa suspension, any input on this mfg of shocks and who sells them so i can get info on them??matthew

roadcrave... Enjoyed immensely an '01 R1100S for five years. Had the Showa suspension and it was excellent. Has been awhile since the bike was fitted with them so do not know a contact for you for additional information, but going to Google and searching would be the first thing I'd try.

Most standard Ducati front suspensions are Showa. Pretty good. The higher end bikes come with Ohlins suspension which adds between $1,500 to $2,000 to the price of the bike.
I have the Showas on my Ducati. If and when I get real good at riding the bike, I may switch to Ohlins.

Im a 4year k1200lt guy, this is my second bike for special occasions, im so excited to get it,cant wait, its loaded with large bmw hardbags,body kit,heated grips,aux plug for my vest - im a die hard,tall windshield, remus exhaust, its yellow and black,sitting in kingsman arizona awaiting me,I live in Spokane wa.matthew

I found out there factory, matthew, To clarify - I really purchaced this bike for my 135#, 5'5" wife....matthew
