Has anyone used the wunder thing lowering kit. I need to straighted out my knees a bit. Since (i think) lowering the pegs will change the relationship to shifter and r brake--they will also have to be adjusted. Will the connecting rods adjust for the different angle of the lowered pegs or must something else be done or bought?

Pirate's Lair (vendor on this and K-Bikes site) sells the lowering pegs AND the shift extender. Nothing, IMO need be done on the brake side, but the shift lever needs some extending.

I don't like the shift extender that Pirate's Lair sells though, as the knurling (as in gun stock checkering) is too sharp and can ruin a set of boot quickly. Some have wrapped duct tape but I think that's tacky (pun intended). All of the current model gear shift levers are the same size e.g. LT, GS, RT, GT so the other brand, I think Suburban Machinery, or something from A & S, etc. with a lot smoother finish is better. I took the one off of my LT and put it on the GT.

Hope this helps. Bars all the way up and the lowering kit makes a big difference for me!

Check here also www.evoluzione.net (http://www.evoluzione.net) they have them for the R and S. I suspect it could be the same for the GT or they can make one if there is enough interest.

I have used them and they make a difference.

Believe it or not Raffy, there GT is different from the R and S. When I took delivery on my GT I wanted the aluminum pegs, as on the S, for my GT. They would not fit/not interchangeable. Perhaps E. has solved this!

There's a product called Plasti Dip (http://www.plastidip.com/industrial/plastidip.html). It's used primarily for dipping the handles of your tools which form a nice, protective and insulated grip for your hand tools. This product would work great for Pirate's shift extender...I would have to believe. Most hardware stores carry this product, or an equivalent.

I use a similar product called 'Liquid Tape' a LOT. (Most auto parts stores carry it.) You brush it on electrical connections that you want to seal. Works better than any electrical tape ever could.

Great Joe, I always wondered if you could buy that stuff that pliers, etc. Presume Lowes/The Home Depot . . . Good suggestion as I now have this jagged shift extender on my LT. Yikes!
