What is your favorite tire guage...

My digital Raodgear tire guage died after only 2.75 years - I think the batter is dead. Sadly, this isn't the newer version with the "easily replaceable battery", so at the moment, mine is about a dozen pieces on the desk.

Assuming I can't get it all back together properly, I'll need a reasonable priced replacement.

Maybe I should just go to the auto parts store and get one of their inexpensive digital ones...

Thoughts?

I bought the RoadGear unit that talks, and I love it. Paid $20-$25 for it, I think. Then I was in RadioShack one day, and I found the same one for something like $10.95. AND, it's bilingual! :D The last time I checked (a few weeks ago), it was on sale online for $2.97!!!

Ended up buying a half a dozen different gauges,
the one I like the best is the "Accugauge" a dial with a short piece of hose,
it's functional.

Thanks Steve... Around our house that isn't very funny... ;) You say that to my youngest (10yrs) and you'll be in a fight before you know it - he was born in Texas and has been indoctrinated...:D

Well, my attempts to replace the battery and put the unit back together weren't successful...cr@p!.... :mad: Looks like I'll be heading to RS tomorrow after church to look for the one Joe pointed out... Shouldn't take me more than 4-5 hrs to cover the 30 miles... :)

The BMW analog gauge for me. Encased in antishock rubber, smooth sweep of the needle, perfect length of hose makes it easy to reach the valve, doesn't seem to let air escape. Pricey, but looks to last forever. Comes will a little carry bag, and is always with me on the bike.

I have a 20 year old Snap-On tire filler/gage that still works great!
