Zumo can be had for 699 a 2820 for 629 and a 2730 for 579..I been checking daily.. I think I want the bluetooth feature but don't want to pay an extra 190 for a GXM antenna
Don't know if I understand the bluetooth completely either. Would I be able to hear the XM with a wireless headset?

HbarYes. If you hardwire a BT-enabled GPS into your intercom system, the XM will come in thru the same signal path. Make sense?

The Garmin units (2720/2820) aren't waterproof are they?
How are you guys keeping them out of the weather?
I'm really enjoying the new Finedrive (cheapie to try it out) I picked up for my car, never thought I would want GPS until this summer riding with Jim who has it on his LT... Now I HAVE to have it..... just been waiting for the after Christmas sales to see if the price comes down a little more.

Merry Christmas to you! Those 2xxx series Garmin units are so tough it amazes me.
A couple of years ago I rode for hours in the fury of Hurricane Ivan, from Florida to North Carolina. The driving rain killed my radar detector, XM radio, audio amplifier, and my cruise control. My 2610 continued to function just fine, and eventually got me to Asheville NC. where I HAD to stop, as they were closing all the roads due to flooding.
The cruise control dried out a couple of days later, as did the audio amp (Mix-IT), and both worked fine thereafter. The Garmin never missed a beat.

Now if only the slave cylinder and shift linkage would work that well! :histerica
Seriously though, thanks for that feedback, I REALLY want one and am watching the prices just plummet... can't wait. New Wilbers, GPS, Kontour, BT020's, PIAA's, and HID high/low and I'm ready to hit the desert southwest this coming year! Yeee haaa... can't wait for the new year to get some vacation time back again!

WOW!
It REALLY makes a difference WHEN you buy stuff!
I just checked Amazon, and the 2820 is now $552.00 WITH Free Shipping AND if you sign up for an Amazon VISA you get another $30 off.... so if you buy it today you can get it for $521.99.
However, YESTERDAY I looked into it and it was $729.99!
How can it go down $200 bucks in ONE day?

I just purchased a Streetpilot 2820 on e-bay for $649.00 with shipping paid. Maybe not the best deal but the best I could find today. Now the question:
Does anyone have a 'cheap' source for the Garmin GMX 30 antenna which is required by this unit to receive XM, weather, traffic et cetera? The cheapest I have found was for $219.00 on GPSNOW.COM.
Thanks for the help. :bmw:
