Folks,

Just a reminder to be careful now that it's cooler or cold weather. We've had unseasonably warm weather here in NC and the bikes are still out and riding around. And people are still getting hurt or killed on them. People are in the Christmas rush and not paying attention. Others are getting new gadgets (gps, etc) and aren't paying attention. My wife nearly got ran over in her car by another car whose driver was fiddling with a GPS looking box on the dash. I got the LT out today and was nearly taken out by a dump truck on my way back to work.

Our state motorcycle program director, Dave Galloway, was hit by a car while riding his bicycle. The car crossed the line. He is in critical condition and needs all the prayers and thoughts ya'll can muster.

A 23 yr old woman was killed over the weekend in Winston-Salem, NC. In her case, she crossed the line in a curve.

As one of our local coaches tells the new students, "you can be right, but you can also be DEAD right". Even though you may be "right", please be ever-vigilant to the vehicles around you. Sometimes we have to be responsible for other drivers' safety since they can't seem to do it for themselves.

Just a reminder. Ya'll be careful out there.

Rando!

Well stated. Not to mention the holiday drinkers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be especially alert during the next 12 days. Many office parties... at the studios! I am already seeing sobriety checkpoints in Burbank.
Heck, I would trade all the speed traps for more sobriety checkpoints anytime!!!
