I'm usually not one for graphics and/or pin-stripes on a bike, but for some reason this one I really like. It's got me thinkin'. :D

What do y'all think?

Hmmmm - has potential, I think. I'm having a hard time with the pix definition, since it blends with the Vette in the background, butt ....... wuz/iz anythang done to the 'hindquarters' of the bike?

BTW, Joe - you might ping David Kinsey (D.Kinsey), the M/C painter down in the Houston area, and see if he's done a GT yet, or has anythang similar in his portfolio.

And from all angles as well. No, he didn't have the bags striped. I think that might be too much anyway.

I'd like to see that Vette too. Looks really sharp...and I'm a long-time Vette fan though I've never owned one (yet!).

Looks like a decreasing size, vibrating dot in my mirror :histerica

IMO when done right, a custom paint job can really improve a given bike's looks. This would be one of those cases. Nice. :thumb:

This particular custom paint job also breaks up the large surface area of the new GT's side panels that some don't care for.

I also think the new GT is screaming for some graphics. Early on, when the pictures first came out, I was thinking the same thing. Even something from those vinyl signs companies that you see on minivans and such could probably produce something way cool. And you could get the added bonus of getting paid for advertising your favorite beer or local pest control company. LOL!

Seriously, some graphics like Joe has suggested would be a nice touch to a very big flat piece of plastic.

Nah, not my thing. But if the owner is happy with it, then cool.

FWIW, I agree w/ ElJeffe - it needs something, just not sure that scheme is it.

I know you'll come up with something far superior Joe...

I know you'll come up with something far superior Joe...I'm not sure I'm going to do anything just yet. Everytime I buy another farkle, I figure it's my last. Then I find something else...you know the story.

And then there's that 4-wheeler that I'm saving my pennies for. Always something!

I like the concept, though it's tough to tell from that picture how well it was done. I agree with Jeff, the GT is SCREAMIN for some graphics. If BMW could do something like the new blue/black/silver K1200S...that would be SWEET!!

I still think the GT would make a great police bike. Jeff posted a pic once with the CHP logo on the side.

Instead of calling it K1200GT-P, I'd call it the K1200GT-I (I for Interceptor).

Plenty of European agancies have used the old KRS/GT for years. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new version soon...

I still think the GT would make a great police bike. No! Leave them on the old, slow Harleys. Please. They don't need no Intercepting capabilities. Not at all. :D

Yea Ted, I could only hope that the department would go with something like the GT. Too bad I wont be around for either the GT or the 1200RT.....

It looks too RS'y to me.

What the gray literally screams for is the the WWII, P-51 Mustang shark treatment.

like the GT just the way it is. More color options would be nice.
I'd also leave the 8 track in the Vette too..lol...but thats just me.. ;)

Never saw them graphics on a P-51 Mustang, but I have seen them on a P-40 Warhawk.

Leave it "as is". The GT is not my favorite as far as style goes , but these graphics do nothing for it. Just my opinion ,as styling is largely subjective.

The graphics really break up the slab sided look that this bike has. I just don't like those particular ones. Words like not very original and boring come to mind.

Joe,

We could add small HD logos for every HOG we pass...like the old military planes did for every kill......but that would cover the GT too fast....then we be back to our ugly, flat, monochromatic slab-sided, haulin' ass GT's again.

Hmm...wonder where he got that idea A good assumption...but not correct. He copied the graphics of the Vette that's sitting behind the GT in that pic. These graphics have been on muscle cars for almost 50 years. So GEE . . . I wonder where Yamaha got that idea from?! ;) Nothing like a Jap bike manufacturer copying Americana from the 60s. :D

Having said all that (crap)...I love that FJR! That is sweet!

For some reason, they come stock that way in Europe but not here. Must be something the marketing types have discovered but based on your comment, they got it backwards.
