Call your BMW shop they nay be able to make a key by using your vin #. BMW has records of all keys in germany.

Yes you can get the lock cylinder out with out removing the nose cone... But you have to have a key to do it!!!!.

If you know the dealer that the bike was originally sold at, often they keep a key on file.

Everyone out there that have only one key - Go get a spare made today!!

Before I removed the Ignition assembly I would call a lock smith out to my location and let them make it there. Call around, I would think most certified lock smiths could do this. It may cost a little more, but the time saved would be worth it.

It should be the same key in all locks. Maybe it would be easier to remove the trunk lock, or the one just above the seat.
