What other bikes do you ride?

Bikes are like tools and you need the right tool for the job (most of the time), so lets see what kind of tools (bikes) ya got. I have ridden dirt all my life so for dirt I have an 03' KTM 450EXC that is plated so I can also dualsport with it. I love this bike, the suspension has been set up for me and it flys over whoops and will top out over 95mph in the dirt!

Here is my KTM950, this is the most fun bike I have ever been on. I do some camping, back road exploring, wheelies, it will do anything.

The KLR is like everyone says the "Swiss Army Knife" of bikes, I may go to Alaska next year on this on. A good bike to pack on the back of the motorhome also.

I always wanted a 65'-67' Triumph Bonneville but never found one for the right price but I did find a 72' XS2650 Yamaha that I loved and so that was close enough

Police Moto Guzzis' Right one is a 72 Eldorado which was a Bakersfield P.D. Bike. The one on the left is a 1000cc Convert. Two speed transmission coupled with a Sachs torque converter. Still titled under LAPD when I picked it up in 1997. Rode like a 1000cc moped. These were issued to the dept. heads.. For chasing down donuts.

Ken they are H/B Gobis. And they are wide, 43" side to side, I may switch to Pelican cases.

Just one, the LT. For me, it is perfect for commuting and great for hitting the road for a week or so. On the other hand this is the only bike I have ever owned, I have no love of camping or driving in the dirt( though I have had the LT on sandy mountain road in New Mexico and have found myself traveling on a kalichi road a couple times here in Texas), can't stand loud mufflers, so what do I know, ?

Have a '99 Triumph Sprint for running around, great bike, fast and comfy. Got a '69 Triumph TR6C with the sexy high pipes for cruising on the Blue Ridge Parkway, fun bike, very light and quick, all steel, no plastic, oil leaks, love it ! Then the LT for traveling with my Sweetie.

I've only ridden two other bikes than my LT, and one of those was a Suzuki 250 at the MSF Basic Riders course. The other was my Yamaha Majesty 400 cc Scooter.

I just traded my 99 Sprint ST for my 07 R1200R, but I wish I could have kept them both. The Sprint 955 is a very nice motorcycle.

The new 1200R is also a very nice bike, so I am happy.

Don;t have more than one motorcycle, but do love my bicycles. I have a Schwinn cruiser for bopping around with the kids. Also have a Specialized FSR Dual suspension mountain bike that is my main woods bike. Have a carbon fiber Trek 9700 mtn bike that is fast, but make my back hurt (old and fat me). The wife has a cromoly frame trek too, that is an awesome bike. If I could only have one of those, the cromoly trek might be the keeper.

And for those that have met me, yes, I'm a big boy, but I do like to ride my bicycles. Just need to do it more. LOL Hopefully in the spring, I will be healed enough to get back on the mountain bikes. I tried once in the fall and it still hurt too much to ride the mountain bikes. The Schwinn isn't a problem.

How about a 03 Suzuki Bergman 650 and a 06 LT. I sold the Suzuki shortly after I bought the LT and I traded the LT for a 07 GT.

I still don't know why I sold the Suzuki!

I had a deposit on a 06 FJR AE. Rode the bike and changed my mind!

Loved my LT, rode it hard for 4 years. Moved up to the GT. Now with almost 5,000 miles, I believe the GT is ideal for my riding needs. In the photo I am in PA visiting my bro and his grand kids The GT shown with side bags off. The large top case looks wierd, but I love the two helmet storage. I commute in the city and this GT is so darn nimble. It is really telepathic. The power is very convenient for blasting thru holes in traffic. SO says this GT is her favorite over all bikes I've ridden with her since 1971. To celebrate my 60th we rode to Niagara Falls Canada on the GT. What an amazing piece of engineering [if you like fast 2-up riding].

Mmmmm...Victory...I would love an 8-Ball, just a shade too pricey for a second (ok third) bike for me.

Thanks! I really enjoy riding it, but it can't hold a candle to my LT when it comes time to hitting the highway for more than an hour or so. The LT also doesn't take a full hour (or more) to dry and detail all of the chrome after washing. :)

The tire is a 250mm, the largest every put on a production bike. Keeping in mind that it is a V-twin it's pushing around 94HP and 105 ft. pounds with a stage 1 kit. It's almost brutal when you get on it. Fun though!

I had an old guy ask me why I picked that color and I told him it's like riding a reflective vest around. The bike was actually Indy Red, I bought new tins and switched them out. It's a limited production color.

I presently have a R1200RT and a Grinnall Scorpion 111. In the past I have owned a Servicycle (Simplex), a H-D 125 cc, a R1100RT, a Honda PC 800 and a Suzuki Burgman 650. I wish I still had all the previous bikes as all were fun in their own ways.

My experience is similar. I wish that I could have kept the Burgman 650 when I bought the R1200RT. My experience withthe FJR was similar as well. It looks extremely good on paper and I am sure it is a fine bike for some but it didn't light my fire.

I have a 1999 LT, a 2006 Vespa, and am about to take delivery of an 07 GSA. The surprise for me is how much we use the Vespa. It is perfect for short little hops. I bought it for my wife, but have ended up using it more than she has.
