Hi folks, I did a little searching but can't find the answer to this. In what model year did the LT horsepower go form ~100 to ~115 hp?...... Thanks

It started with the 2005 models when the LT was also fitted with the hydraulic center stand, and the front wheel geometry was revised to assist with low speed handling. The high beam now has its own headlight assembly below the low beam assembly and uses the H9/H11 halogen bulb instead of the H3... The were potentially good things.

That year BMW also introduce the infamous "comfort" seat for the LT.

Thanks..... that's what I thought (2005) but wasn't sure. That generation sounds good except I'm not so fond of the hydraulic center stand idea. I hear they're having their share of problems.

But don't get too excited. All LTs are still under 100HP at the rear wheel.

That year BMW also introduce the infamous "comfort" seat for the LT.If you mean by "Comfort Seat" the one with the pretty stitching and supposedly more comfort, that has been around since at least 2000. If you mean the narrowed seat for those short in stature, then you are correct.

According to BMW, some of the '04s produced in the latter half of the year also had the new motor - that's according to my shop manual...

So the updated LT was available as an '04 model in Europe, Australia, and Canada. They still called them '05 bikes here, even though the were released in the middle of '04. Gotta love the marketing folks.
