Believe it or not, I just dropped my new Navigator II while taking it off its mount. It fell on a hard surface and a piece of case broke off. The unit still works fine, it's just the area where CF is stuck is not protected from the weather anymore.

Is there a place I can buy parts like the case. Or what would be a good glue to glue this thing together.

Thanks,
BJ

read carefully, but it sounds like this might be just what you're looking for.

Thanks Hans,
This may be what I'm looking for. I'm not sure though if if 2620 is exactly the same as Navi II. In the description for 2620 it says it's got pre-programed drive storage, whereas Navi II uses CF memory cards and that memory card compartment cover is what broke off my unit.
Anyway, thanks for the idea - Ebay may be a good place to find a broken Navi II and buy it as a part bin.
Thanks,
BJ

Have you contacted Garmin to see if you can get the part from them? I believe that the NavII is a rebadged Garmin unit. They may have an agreement with BMW to prevent them from providing any support for the NavII products but it is worth making a call.

Yes, I did call Garmin and they said that they have no parts available. But I could send it in to a service center and they will fix it (they will send me a refurb) for $275 - I think that's a bit tooo much for a plastic cover.
I think that looking at Ebay for a broken unit (with good case) may be a good idea.

I sent my MAV 2 back to Garmin to have that little door replace. They replaced it on the warranty. It was brand new and the box it comes in opens from the side. It was the first time I opened it and the GPS fell out onto the ground.
