Going to rain this weekend and good time for a small project. Replace that wimpy horn. Does anyone have experience (pic's would help) removing the rt side fairing. Must I remove the belly pan and the inner panel? '06 KGT

Tupperware removal on the new GT is as simple as simple gets. The trickiest part may be removing the little lower-Tupperware panel. It actually hooks into a catch. Use a flashlight and shine it in there once you have all the screws removed. If you just yank on it, you're going to break it. Patience and a little common sense is all you really need.

Lastly, you do know that you just can't replace the horn with a louder one, correct? You'll need to use the current positive wire to trip a relay that will control the new horn.

You don't have to remove the belly pan. There are four screws on the front inner side that have to come out. On the left side, the top screw is hidden under a flexible piece of plastic. The rest ought to be as obvious as a chigger bite on the backside of the knee.

Thanku men. Got the tupperware off. Yea, realized I can't just swap out for a louder 1. Can't even get to the horn to see where the leads go.. Has anyone installed a Stebel (compact).. Is there room in the new GT--where do I tap in to the horn for the relay. The oem horn is wimpy but will live with it for now.. NOt giving up--it's against my nature.

Don't know where the leads are, but there should be enough room for a new horn on the left side, over top the ABS crap. (That's where I put one of my fuse blocks.)
