Looking for feedback on local BMW service. I live in the Woodlands, so North Houston would be my first choice for a simple part or something, but I haven't been particularly impressed with the customer service aspect of that dealership. It's too sterile and corporate for my taste.
So.....
"Some guy" suggested Wild West Honda. Says they have the best service in town, but I like A.J. (the GM) down at Gulf Coast BMW, on College. They are about even for drive time, although I have to plan around rush hour(s) for the downtown dealer.
Opinions???? Right now I just need a tire change and checkout.
Thanks again,
Robert
Also, any tech days coming up in Houston?? I'm smart enough to know that I don't know much about this bike.

Good luck! Dan Drum (sm at wild west) is as good as they get. But I haven't used them since '93. Had high hopes for north Houston until their parts guy told me that Bridgestone doesn't make radials and that that I didn't know anything. Haven't tried gulf coast and Houston Motorsports dropped their BMW line. I do all my service except Integral brake flush. I've got the tire changing tools, so bring your tires over or have them shipped to me and we can do it in 1-2 hours. I'm on the west side near Westpark Tollway and Hwy. 6. You ought to consider the Smartire system whem changing tires. I like it enough that I have spares on hand.

Gulf coast helped me out when I was in Houston and someone backed into my bike in the parking garage at the Hilton. The fixed my brake pedal and got me back on the road. I thought is was a nice bike shop sort of place. That said, I have never been there for service.
North Houston is spiffy like a Harley dealership. I like going there when I am in Houston visiting my daughter. I usually by some clothes or little something. I almost bought my GS there, they had several left over 2006 GS's at a good price.
I think you have better choices in Houston than in Dallas, but that could just be the grass is always greener syndrome.
For service I like Lonestar in Austin.

It all started out as a spoof on people "trolling" the forums, but kept getting better and better. Sadly, in the end it got way out of hand, lines were drawn, people got hurt, and lives were destroyed, so we had to put a stop to it.
Glad somebody got a laugh out it in the end though.......
