3 questions:
- will they install the correct spring for the individual rider at no additional cost?
- are there any applicable taxes?
- how much is sshipping?

I found at least one vendor on eBay who is selling the K1200LT specific shocks for $1199 /pair plus $25 s/h to CONUS and they'll install the correct spring prior to shipping. $1092 with the advrider group purchase is $100 less, but not earth shaking. And I'd still ask those questions.

While the group buy is only ~$60 less than the dealer's online "sale" prices, the dealer is flying a banner noting a 2007 price increase.

That's probably reason enough to jump if you've been waiting for the right time.

Speaking of timing, sure hope the wife doesn't see the credit card bill until after Christmas. The ole do as I say and not as I do approach stopped working for me a long time ago. Yikes!

I am in on this group buy for my LT. Indicated that they will set up with springs for individual riding style, weight, loads, etc...

I just called my local guy and asked if he could meet the group buy deal, he said the best he could go was $1150 and he would have them sprung for my weight 160lbs. I know it's more money but I would rather have him in bussiness so I am going with him.

Doug for your weight you fall into the standard spring rate. The front shock has the 85nm spring standard,not sure what the rear standard spring rate is.
