All:

I just bought an '00 LT that had BMR Co-Pilot shelf and wired for SP-III. Great, because I still have my SP-III and can dedicate to this bike.

There is no mount on the Co-Pilot. Previous owner states there is a thingy that bolts onto the Co-Pilot, and the Garmin mounting base attaches to that. He has a bunch of rubber blocks attached to the Co-Pilot that go under the thingy to dampen the vibration.

Problem is, thingy is long gone. Any ideas on how best to mount the SP-III to protect from vibration, or is that not an issue?

Thanks to all in advance.

The inexpensive way is to get the locking mount with the adhesive base. You can get this from www.tvnav.com . the more expensive way would be the touratech SP III mount (locking or non-locking) and the cross bracket bar by BMR that allows you to attach the Touratech mount to it. Another would be to use a RAM universal base and a RAM short arm attached to the RAM SP III holder.

You can call Brett or Pete at BMR-Products and get the SP III mount (http://www.bmrproducts.com/products.php)
