Hello all.
I'm a newbie to the LT crowd, but have been riding for many years on my Road King and my V-Maxes before that. Just acquired an LT, and it needs tires.
I don't mind paying the dealer to do the labor, but if there is a tech day coming up, I'd rather give the $$ to one of you. Even if not a tech day, and any of you die-hards have mounting/balancing equipment, I still need it done. Also need a bulb replaced in one of the PIAA front bullets. Allright you, no laughing, told you I was a newbie.
Any takers or info?

Tony, welcome to the site and to the LT. You are going to enjoy the bike.
Hey John......sounds like something for your garage again. Has the neighbors recovered yet from the last one? :histerica

Southwest Mototires has good deals on tires and there are several threads about where to get them mounted.

Hey Tony, John Munson, aka The Rev is prolly your closest source via Grapevine. Or, you can come to my house outside of New Braunfels if the beeg city of Austin scares ya.

Thank you for the warm welcome and suggestions.
The bike is at the seller's house until my check clears his bank. I'll have the tires this week, and will pick up the bike Saturday morning. Straight to somewhere to get them mounted, then off to the detail shop to get all of the dust off of her. She'll make those first trips inside the trailer. Hopefully I'll hear from The Rev on this.

Hi Tony,
I don't have any mounting and balancing stuff, and I usually take my wheels off and carry them to a local Kawi dealer to change tires. I do have a bike lift in the garage, and would be happy to help with other chores when I'm free. I have the next four Saturdays free, too, for a change, so if you want to come by just email me at john@munson.net, or call 817-371-7000. I look forward to meeting you.

Thank you, John. Picking up the bike on Saturday afternoon. Already made an appointment to have tires swapped at the BMW dealer before I read your offer.
That said, since we live so close, would like to meet with you and share some fellowship. I'll send my number by PM as well.
Best,
Tony
