Yup - movin' on; on the GT. Got published in BMW MOA's December ON rag, with his 100,000 mile award and paperweight puck, while taking Barbara down the pike and round the block. Barbara being a Canyon Red LT (2000 year model) that took Grif and Sandy many a smiling mile.
Gonna take 6 years riding the GT to dupe that feat, Grif? Prolly not. They're already printing your 200K certificate. :bmw:
Good show on the mileage award, Bud. What creative spot did you place your heavyweight puck, btw? I'm still searching for a place around here for Toad's paperweight. Thought it would look good nailed to the trunk lid of the Mercedes, butt you-know-who shot that down!! ;) :D

Thanks. It's leaning against my computer screen so I can look at it while answering folks with garage queens.:rotf:
Pity I have a two year old pickemup with 54 thou on it. If I just didn't have to haul stuff, sigh.

I got my 100k 'award' several years back but seems I only got a pin, dont' recall a puck. But our puny mileages pale next to the Glaves'....did y'all know Paul and Voni moved to Great Bend Country? I suppose it's been all over the MOA mag, suppose I'll have to join up again one of these times just to keep track of whut folks are up to!

Yup - Wetzel did his Big Bend run in October; wuz gonna try to set up a meet with Paul and Voni. Although I saw Chuck at the Sunset Cafe last Satiday, he had a phone in his ear most of the time, so I didn't get a chance to ax how the ride and get-together went. And now that he's moved into S.A., I don't get to see him hardly at all - unless we happen to coincide a trip to Rhinewest.

congrats Grif, the DragonFly is 1200 miles from her 100,000 in four years, should be in about 3 weeks at most.
How do I get the 100k puck and paperwork?

Dave - I had Lone Star send in the paperwork for mine. They had all the forms and got the necessary signatures and the confirmation mileage from Toad's records. Give Millers a ping and see if they do it for their customers.

Congrats on the BMW puck Grif - I never found a place on the scoot for it either although it does make a good kick stand holder.
Here's a pic of the puck and the MOA award along with an AMA award for a few miles.

Dave you get your puck from BMW NA,
go through a dealer you'll need a list of your Bike(s) with mileage and vin numbers.
The MOA magazine will send you a patch and a pin.
I just got mine, y'all best get rollin if you wanna catch me :D

What is this "puck" thing you are talking about Dick? When I got my 100K certificate it was just a pin if I remember correctly. Will have to find the envelope that I stashed away when we thought were moving and check it out again.

Dave,
The puck is a BMW Corporate award, the award you got was from the BMWMOA. To get the BMW award you must go through a dealer - my dealer mentioned this to me or I would have never known... Live and learn.

Made of solid brass, it will put some teeth out if applied correctly!

My 200K "puck" mounts very nicely on the rear fender, in the space just underneath the license plate.

And the sheer weight of that booger is why you were seen pulling a wheelie in the parking lot at Chat!
