Each service has their "Presidential" Drill Team. We saw the Air Force unit at a joint services JRTOC drill meet in Montgomery, AL in 1999. It is always neat to watch any of them.

Lots of practice and dedication here. Reminded of the old saying "ammeters practice until the get it right. Professionals practice until they can`t get it wrong"
Anyone from my generation has to be
hearing "Boom chuckalucka, boom chuckalucka, why did the chicken cross the road ? to get to the other side"
"ARMY TRAINING SIR" :D

From the time I was 13 until I was 22 I was on some type of drill team so I can say these guys are good. To bad they were in an enclosed area. If you could have seen them march and do the throws and twirls then you would have been really impressed.
I'm just happy the handicam or digital camera did not exist when I was on the USCG team. The instructor used to get his Nikon with motor drive and shoot several rolls while we practiced to see who was ahead or behind or off angle. The guy that was off got to pay for processing. I'm just glad he was using black and white film since it was cheaper. Of course we all payed with more practice (and other humiliation) if it was bad.

With no intent to minimize the excellence portraid, anything done with perfection is always a joy to behold.
If you get the chance, watch a Goldwing Drill Team go thru their paces while mounted and under power!!
Yoiu actually can hear the antennas click together!

Wow! That was pretty good.
I wonder how many times that guy in the middle has caught a rifle in the side of the head?
