Turns out that I was in the garage and setting some channels on the pushbuttons and decided to start the bike as the time for riding was approaching. The panel went from bright 'on' to dismal faint at best.
So, the 'dealer' said I shouldn't have started the bike when the radio was 'on'!
The over-engineering BS of the BMW (Bring More Wompum!) continues..now in unexpected places. 'Don't start the bike when the radio is on?>?>?' Just how proposterous is that?
Oh well, another $500 down the f'n drain! Next bike won't have this type crap...XM radio will do the trick and keep on ticking.
Any suggestions from the members; experience? Thanks, Tom
