VoiceII On/Off Switch?

I hopped on the LT ('05) for the commute this am and had no tunes. The radio buttons all lit up but nothing on the display. I checked and the Voice II was not 'ON.' I dont have my manual with me for it but I dont recall an on/off switch. Could it be a fuse?

The radio buttons will be lit but the radio and Voice II will not be on until you turn the radio on. I would bet your radio was not turned on ;).

You just lost the bet.........

Take another look....the radio buttons (all but one) do not come on until the 'radio' on button is depressed. The 'radio' button is lit at all times, the others light up only when the radio is on.

In my case, the other buttons come one but the nice faint blue glow of the Voice II 'ON' message is missing and there is no station readout on the display. The CD changer 'light' is on but no one home there either.

There is radio fuse, but no separate VoiceII fuse on the bike. There is a small 10A fuse on the back of the radio:

I never determined just what this fuse protected, but it is a possibility.

Does the instrument panel indicate the radio is on? Does it change display with the radio buttons pressed - such as AM/FM tone, etc.?

I was out of town for T-Day, just got back and catching up. The problem is not VoiceII, I think. It is in the radio itself as, IF I recall correctly, the V-II comes on when the ON button is pushed. Nothing comes on except the button back lights when the ON button is activated. No display, no noise, nothing but a 'back light' of sorts in the CD slot. I haven't checked to see if the CD changer will accept a disk but will. Also need to re-check fuses to make sure I was checking the right ones. I sure acts like a fuse, hope it is not the one under the stingray! What a PITA!
