Finished my major electrical project last night - Hi/Lo HID, speedo mod, route wires under tank, re-wire aux lights installed by PO, install aux input cable for radio, hard-wire garage door opener to PTT switch, (oh yeah - new front tire also) and...

Flush-mount a cigarette lighter outlet to the inside of the oddments box.

Very well done and an excellent write up.

I made a similar modification, except I wanted mine in the tour pack,
mostly to charge my cell phone
but with the option left available for the Esspresso maker in the future. :)

I purchased a three receptacle setup at the local auto parts store (Bell)
cutout a piece of the mirror "box", split a piece of hose for a gasket and wired in a lighted switch,
it is powered by a relay under the passenger seat so that it is only on when the ignition is on.
