I just received my notice from Cross Country Motor Club about renewal. Have any members used this assistance plan and is it worth renewal? :bmw:

Check out AAA as they do 100 miles for the gold card. Good for autos too.

Thanks for the reply Jim. We used to have AAA years ago. Was a member from 1977 thru 1994 and only used the trip planner map thingy they make up for you, then one hot day in August of '94 I was out west in South Dakota and had a bearing go out, made the call and the operator said they could send a tow out in a couple of hours however it would cost me their overtime rate (Sunday), it's not like I had a laptop or local yellow pages in my truck. When I got back home the following week I cancelled my subscription.

Many have reported bad experiences with Cross Country, I included. I wouldn't renew.

Jerry - I can't speak from personally using their service, butt have talked to several folks in the TX area who have been pleased with the service of:
