More than you would ever want to know, but here it is...

R 1200 S - oil level indicator not active:

only affects vehicles with "on-board computer" (option 539)
Activation of the oil level indicator
For the vehicles concerned, which were manufactured from 08/2006 and from integration level "K024-06-01-500", the updated to the program mentioned above is NOT offered automatically via a “Status Report” when entering “Check SW” but can only be programmed manually.

K-Series - The following functions are contained in this update:
Improved damping during load change and metering (even below 2,500 rpm):

generally improved ridability, with the side effect that after a load change, a deep resonating tone is emitted from the silencer.
engine cuts in again more smoothly and comfortably after coasting with fuel shut-off when the throttle valve is closed; as a secondary effect, popping noise may sometimes be audible in the silencer.
Improved actuation of the throttle flap detent (stepper motor):

clears the symptoms of "occasional power deficiency" and/or “increased manual force on the throttle twist grip after a particular wide throttle valve angle" or "throttle valve does not open completely"
ATTENTION: replacing the stepper motor in the event of the above symptoms does not provide a solution.

Injection time conversion factor for fuel consumption revised:

clears the symptom, that the consumption indicated was lower than the actual consumption.
Improved "gear recognition" function:

clears the "intermittent errors in the gear indicator" or "incorrect gear readings in the instrument panel" symptoms.
This is achieved through:

reducing the adaptation times for adapting the gear and improving the recognition function.
After this software has been programmed, it will still be possible to reproduce indicator errors if they are caused by inadequate gear shifting (false neutral or missed shift).

Improved cold starting at temperatures below 50°F (10 °C):

clears the symptoms of "Starting problems at low outside temperatures" and/or "Engine cut-out".
K1200 S (K40) and K 1200 R (K43) motorcycles manufactured up to week 50/2005 (second week in December 2005):

if the transmission or gears are replaced in the motorcycles mentioned above, it is essential that this BMS-K is updated to avoid gear indicator errors.
For vehicles which were manufactured up to week 50/2005 (second week in December) and integration levels "K024-04-11-520", "K024-04-11-530", "K024-05-02-510" and "K024-05-08-510", the program updates mentioned above are NOT offered automatically via a “Status Report” when entering “Check SW” but can only be programmed manually.

K 1200 S - brake light continuously lit after programming or encoding the
vehicle.

Only vehicles with option code 646 - without integral ABS. The correction can be made in one step for the above-mentioned symptoms manually
