The only problem I've had with my 06 GT is the throttle transition from closed to barely open. Very abrupt. Finally was able to duplicate it for them by just trying to hold the bike at exact 2k rpm while parked. It would fluctuate from 1500 to 2500 - would not stay at 2k. They spoke w/BMWNA and ordered a sensor for the airbox and were going to tear my bike down.
My dealer called me yesterday. BMWNA had called them back to say they were sending them a CIP update for 7.1 (not 7.0.1). The update adresses throttle transition - fuel gauge acuracy, cold starting, etc. I will be taking it up after vacation to see if that cures it. I wonder if that fuel gauge correction will change my bike still having over a gallon of gas when the computer says I have zero miles left?
This is just a FYI - I LOVE MY BIKE!
