Leon Springs this week (11-17). Figgering the roadwork on IH-10 might be easier to handle from Leon Springs than from up in Boerne.
Gonna take George over to Rhinewest and introduce he and Hank to one another. Checking with Hank about working on a sidehack, if George ever needs work. And checking with Hank on why Toad's rear wheel drags 'really hard'.
Cy'all there.

Leonbucks it is...
Probably your disk brakes are dragging slightly. Try yanking the pads and see if it spins any better. Easy enough to try.

Yup - did that and it did. Tried pushing all the pistons back and think I did, butt not sure which one mighta been sluggish. Since Hank installed the SS brake lines not long ago, he wants to take a look at it, so will take a run by there. Cya Friday.

Hey, lookin' forward to seeing you again. I'll get there early and bring the information on all the construction and rerouting of IH-10 thats gonna be goin' on over the next three years. Hair pullin' time!!!
Yeah, I pulled the pads; spun the wheel and it spun with no drag. Pushed on the pistons as best I could, using the pad(s); put the pads back in and spun the wheel and it did fine. Buttoned everythang up; rode home and put Toad on the centerstand - same draggin' as before. Hank thinks maybe the pistons/cylinders need cleaning of grahdoo (how the hell you spell that??? ) And the rotor definitely looks like a crop circle spaceship has landed on the outer couple of inches. I'll show ya Friday.

eewwwwww!!!!!
Hey, Dick, it does kinda sound like the 'ol calipers got some grunge. That brake fluid has a tendency to turn to gel over time. The Connie's calipers were pretty bad like that.

Yeppir - thought about that too, butt Hank changed the fluid when he installed the SS brake lines. Course maybe that didn't get all the old grunge out. Dunno. We'll see whazzup after he lays hands on ole Toad.
Hey, thanks for the suggestions and notes too. Hope you battened down the hatches today - lawdy, I think some of your tree leaves got blowed into my garage - whazzat, 4 or 5 miles?! Whew - 51 mph gale registered up the road in Kerrville!!

Ouch - can't wait to hear it. I pulled Toad off the lift this afternoon with plans on riding in the morning - then remembered the new hours for entrance to the storage unit - 6am-10pm. Drats. Can't even git the T-Bird out for a romp. :( So, I'll be at *$$ at 0545 or so. Cya there, Russ.
