Dick,

I saw it this morning when I was poking around checking out the import of my favorites into FireFox. I was not aware of it. If I had known earlier, like you, I would have planned on being down there this weekend. Hope they raise a lot through the auction and bake sale. She is one of the best people to deal with.

Open house being Dec 9 ... I might be able to make that! I was there last year, but was the oddball there on a Honda. This year I can at least show up with the right brand bike. :)

How many of ya'll end up making it out for open house?

Howdy GRIF,

You must have had a relapse of memory due to all the fun in your earlier years. I know my younger days have killed too many brain cells also. Or just maybe the lunch at “Twisted Kilt” was on your thoughts. The best EYE-Candy I have ever seen is at the T.K. ==> Twisted Kilt....

Let me refresh those lost brain cells Grif.....When I came to give you a ride to the T. K. remember what Gary told us?? That was on Nov 1, less than 8 hours after Denise's house burned down....Penalty flags for Both of US we should have started something then...

For all those out there reading this please go to the Lonestar website !!

Denise has been thought Hell this year. She also lost her Niece that she raised as own daughter in Feb. this year.

Maybe?? Us web-based BMW readers could do something special for Denise at the Christmas party this year…..???

My new job and New Life Environment has limit my time here on this site…

You all have a Blessed Day.

(((Prayers for Denise))))

I remember the conversation with Gary, allright. What I didn't know was the gig to help her out.

Lone Star, and I presume Denise, have been solid supporters of CCR and the Silent Auction (courtesy of our local members efforts), for several years. It is somewhat disturbing that we have not had the opportunity to do what we do best, show our appreciation and support for those who support us.

Would you Texas folk please keep Gilda and I in mind when, not if, you get something going, please.

HI,

You and Gilda still have time to show your appreciation & support.

Lonestar has put buckets on the counters for Love offerings until the Christmas party. Also Denise 's Birthday is this Sunday...

Hopefully ?? during the Christmas holiday I can make time to get a detail e-mail list for most of the BMW rider's in this area....It would be very handy just for this type of emergency callings....

Jeff,

Do you know if Lone Star has set up a PayPal account to handle contributions for those of us who know Denise, but cannot make it to their location, who want to contribute?

Yeppir - she lost her house and belongings in a fire on Nov 1st. Lone Star had a silent auction gathering for her, and celebrated her birthday last Saturday. There is a PayPal account set up so she can receive donations from friends and family. I think all the info wuz on Lone Star's home page last week - maybe it's been pulled. I haven't checked. Anyway, that's all I know at the moment. Jeff <zimbazi > or Grif < grifscoots > may know more.

Thanks for info. Been out of town and just saw your reply. What a tragic thing to happen.

I saw Denise today, she was amazed and grateful at the love she's received from us. Amazingly good attitude, too. She did lose her cat in fire, which adds pain to an already hurtful situation.
