Well, just rolled over 10K on my R1200GS.

Problems:

1) Lost the low beam about 9K
2) Nail in rear at 7K, replaced front and rear with new tourances
3) Marsee tank bag zipper that holds it onto the tank broke at 9.5K

I guess those aren't problems !! :)

Loving every minute of it, except the gas mileage/range. It's acceptable. Would like the range of the Adventure, but not everything else that comes with it.

Oil consumption

1st 6K - 3.5 quarts
2nd 6K - 1.25 quarts

New to your forum. Just wanted to say, 05 R1200GS 27234 miles. This bike has been to AK and back, and all around the usa. Adjusted valves twice! No other problems! Guess I got a lemon :yeah: What a great bike!
Have a great day all

James,

If you want a little extra range - remove the rubber goose neck in the filler tube. This goose neck goes down about 3/4 of an inch into the tank. I have been able to get almost 1/2 gallon more in the tank. :D

It is nice to see people reporting great reliability and low maintenance. I hope my new GSA will work out as well.
