12 hours after Flying Goose III got home I got to enjoy a day out on an "off road riding experience".

Husqvarna 250cc trails bike are very different to the LT and GT but thought it would be good to improve my biking skills. All going well until half an hour before the end. The front wheel jumps out of a chalky rut, the bike leans me back (standing on the pegs) and as I'm gripping the bars too tight I turn on the acceleration...the bike leaps forward until it meets a tree, I move forward until my head hits the tree, I fall into a ditch and then the bike falls in, until it hits me.

The helmet saved my head, my goggles and glasses broke over my nose, and my knee stopped the bike from hitting the ground hard. Consequently an evening in A&E strapped to a back board & neck brace, and knee like a basketball.

Each day I get better and today the crutches were replaced with a more elegant walking stick.

But the worst thing is that every time I hobble out to to be driven somewhere I have to pass the GT waiting for me in the garage.

Do you think she'll start again in 3 weeks?

Bummer Berny. I''m sure the GT will be ready whenever you are. Heal well, and be glad that you survived the NHS once again. :)
