Electical/Intercom question

Hi - I am new to the forum and to the K1200LT. Just taken delivery of a LUX model, (new to me anyway). It appears to have some sort of intercom factory fitted, but I have no idea what model! Also, on top of radio unit in locker is what could be a volume control, a small chrome switch and a pair of 3.5mm jack plug sockets... If anyone can help me identif what this I would appreciate it, nothing in manuals that xame with the bike. Charles

I'd guess that it's a BC1. I've got a 2000 with a BC2, it 2 knobs and no switch. From what I gather, the BC1 had lots of problems. BMW upgraded it to a BC2, which also had it's problems and was superseaded by the BC3. Whit that said, I havent really had any problems with my BC2.
