Snake oil? Anyone tried this? Click on video to see him painting this onto the headlight.

In reading the product website it appears that LIDAR targets the headlight or front license plate. There is no front license plate on the LT so the headlight is the target right? Or, is it possible that other parts of the LT are targeted for LIDAR?

Looking closely at the picture leads me to believe that you will also prevent light from coming out of your headlamps. Hmmmmmmm

I watched a show called myth busters where they tested all kinds of radar/laser claims. Everything turned out to be a myth including all the radar/laser absorbing paints. A few of the snake oil poducts helped reduce the range of detection but by very small amounts. No where near enough to help you in any way. Buy a good radar detector and learn to use it. That will greatly reduce your chances of getting popped but instant on will most likely get you a performance award especially with laser since you will not detect the guy in front of you getting probed.

Veil works better than nothing but not as well as a blinder jammer but is a little pricey for paint and yes you can see it on the lights. The mythbusters show about radar was accurate in that the little tricks don't affect radar or lidar however their speed cam show was not completely accurate.

Another, more novel, approach would be to ride within the parameters of the law.

these guys are unbiased in their reports. They buy radar/lidar guns and test them in real world situations.....a great site. http://guysoflidar.com/
