Hi Guys:
Just bought a 2000 LT and installed a Baher Blackline Active system. I am looking for some weather tight panel mount sockets and plugs. I am trying to do away with the cords hanging out from under the seat. Wondering if anyone has a brand name or source for these.

Thanks

I installed an Autocomm plug on the leetle removable panel just below the oddments box. Used a BMW powerlet, spring cap to cover it. It took a little work to make it fit, but was purdy kewl.

Baehr makes one and they call it a Bulkhead mount.

Thanks for the reply's.
Naturally I was calling them the wrong thing, did a search on the old forum on bulkhead mounts and found some input. Interesting the response from Autocom regarding safety issue .The connectors I was thinking of using are Switchcraft EN3 watertight series. With only one end of the Baehr cable, modified with the new type plug, the helmet end would hopefully pull out as intended in a dismount! Raffy I did a search on the Baehr site as well as your site and couldn't find a bulkhead mounting. The Baehr PDF cat. wouldn't come up but their site didn't list anything in accessories, am I missing something?

Scroll down a bit and it's the last item before the ICOM FRS.

I was wondering if you can give us a report on this unit. How hard was it to install etc.

Thanks
Glen

Just drill a hole install the socket and tighten the nut. The main issue is where to locate it. If on the dash then you need an extension cable. If on the stingray (flat area around the radio 's left side), then you won't need one.

Hey Glen:
Baher Blackline Active system was very simple to install. 2000 LT, I Pulled the power from fuse block#2 hooked the 12v+ lead directly to the hot side and ran the ground to the battery. Mounted the unit under the seat on the right side on the cowling. It's so small a couple of velcro tab's, that came with the unit, do the job nicely. We have Caberg Justissimo helmets, flip face, installing the spaekers and mic. took longer than mounting and wiring the main unit.
So far it,s worked flawesly. Time will tell.
Raffk, I found the bulkhead mount parts, don't know how I missed that! well actually I do. Old Age! Thanks !
I went ahead and ordered the switchcraft watertight parts from Digikey everthing $32.00. (2 bulkhead f sockets, 2 m plugs, 2 caps, and 4 simple din plugs) I am going to wire a pigtal plug from the back of the bulkhead socket so I don't have to modify the existing cord.
I will give an update in a couple of months don't expect any problems.
Thanks for everone's help.
