Hey guys, I have a 2000 K1200LT
I've wired the AVI pro 300 into the seat heater.
Now I'm trying to wire the part 1319 into the speaker system so we get music through the headphones in the helmets
Anyone know where or what color wires are going to the speakers in the back of the bike?

All the info you need can be found on Jim Beard's K1200LT Autocom Install (http://www.angelfire.com/ar2/jfbeard/autocom/autocom.htm) pages.

also check the wiring notes on Autocom's site. http://www.autocom.co.uk/
They have a description & pics of the LT install, BUT...
on the LT diagram they don't show the direction of the feed from/to the Autocom (there is a specific direction), which they DO SHOW on the previous page for other bike setups (I know, because I missed it and wired it the wrong way, and the local Autocom dealer picked up on it when looking at another problem...).
Dumb as it sounds, I just thought I had other connection issues to deal with...
I changed my wiring from the seat heater to the rear 12V plug at the same time.

Chris:
As I reported elsewhere, I had been struggling with the radio/autocomm switched interface, getting a second assembly with no greater luck than the first.
The tech support at Autocomm America (and England) had thrown up their hands and suggested that I get the unswitched interface.
But when you mentioned that there was a right side and a wrong side connection and referred the illustrations on the previous page for part 1321, it became perfectly obvious that one specific wire (it turns out to be the black) needs to be connected to the output from the radio as input to the switch and circuitry; the other (red) is the output to the same colored wire on the speaker side driving the speaker(s); none of that is addressed in the spurious "instructions" for the LT (the color coding is confusing on that illustration, and the wiring pattern works only if you are on the output side of the LT connector).
And since Autocom doesn't supply schematics, I had to think it through: the connections don't matter when toggled to the speaker--the current flows either way. But when toggled to the headphones, one wire --and only one wire--will be carrying the signal to the switch for transfer to the circuit box and from that circuitry to the Autocom. That's the black wire; the red merely carries the signal to the speakers when toggled to speaker.
In any case, your two-year old response, buried almost in the middle of 500 some entries on this thread, solved the problem.
Thanks.
