I have the black wire connected to the ground on the battery. No problem there except when I dropped the nut and couldn't find it. I was finally able to flush it from it's hiding spot with the water hose.

Now I'm all set to connect the unit to the power.

Only issue I have is the instructions say to place it in the circuit for the brake light... UNLESS you have Antilock brakes.
Well mine is a 2000 K1200LT and it has antilock brakes.

I have no idea what this is supposed to solder into and I sure don't want to screw up and find myself riding a flaming comet down the freeway one night.

Anyone have any idea one what wire I should connect this autocom to?

Thanks for all your help.

Doug

I take it you are not wanting to start a crimped v's solder war ? ;-)

Most bikes do not have the extras found on the LT and the only guaranteed power supply in most bikes towards the rear, which is the preferred mounting point, is the supply for the brake light. On the LT there is plenty of room under the rear seat and the battery is close by. Lift the front seat then undo the 2 bolts that hold the back seat in place and lift it upp gently. The wire that connects your seat to the bike is the supply for the heated seat and is only powered when the ignition is on. Take your power (+) from there.
