I assume you mean total mileage currently on the bike? 92K, though that's light weight compared to some folks here.

12K miles in 15 months,

BUT...

a) all our roads in the UK (and Europe(and Africa)) are twisties - non of this 1K+ miles of 'superslab'

b) our bikes are usually laid up for 6 months of the year -snow-frost-ice-mud- horse (droppings)

so, 12K, not toooooooooo bad, really.

My LT was my only bike for about 6 months, when I got an FZ1, then an R1200GS. The smaller, lighter bikes are my daily bikes, and my solo 1 state away bikes. The LT is for the wife, and the long trips.

24,125 (almost 10X what it had when I bought it last NOV {2512}), only problem was the gas gauge not working when I picked it up in Portland due to ?overfilling or plugging of the cannister? while the previous owner had it. Jeff, just curious, any problems with the bike in 114K miles. I have a '99 with only 29,500 on her (16,500 when I bought her last year) and am scared to death the rear end is going to go out or the slave cylinder will leak, or one of the other problems that keeps happening to everyone will happen to me.

AT 81K clutch started slipping, second bad slave cylinder seriously fouled clutch plates. Took it to a dealer for new clutch, when they split the case primary shaft of tranny was flapping in the breeze, I ended up replacing the transmission, tech got it all back together and did not like sound of rear end, pulled it appart and it was about to frag. Put the new bearing in the rear end. Traded them two of my future grandchildren to get the bike out of the shop but haven't had any problems since then.

BTW turned 118k last week.

The number on your odometer held against another persons, is not a true measure of the value of your place or time with your bike.
The endless joy brought by thoughts of rides you have taken, the extra crows feet around your eyes because you could not stop smiling, the piece of gear givin to you by another, just because you needed it!
These are the true mile posts that will last forever in your heart.

Jeff,

Impressive history.

I can understand one clutch (leaking seal/slave), but, two? Was the second worn or contaminated?

I hope to keep mine for at least as many miles (only 60K on my 05). I've already drilled my slave and clutch housing tell-tales.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,
The first was contaminated by a leaking slave and or transmission input shaft, the main seal was relaced as a precaution. The second clutch was contaminated by a leaking main seal and I replaced the clutch slave as a precaution. I just ride it til it breaks and do my best get it back on the road.

Recently turned 48,000 on '99 model, but had 30,000 on the clock when I purchased in May 2004. Has it really been four years?

This thread is "so" BMW rider-eque. I smile when I'm around "bikers" who brag about how little miles are on their "lifestyle accessories". They're investments, of course, so you can't actually RIDE them.

42K on my 2002.

It had less than 38K when I bought it last Sept and it had to sit in the garage for a month and a half due to ice and snow.

02' with 3400 miles. Bought it last fall with 1200. I did put 2200 miles on in 4 days. The most I ever rode (in 4 days). Could never do that on my RR. ;)
Updated 4400 miles now. Shoulder surgery is going to make a major cut in my saddle time this season.
