I would like to know if the 2004 GSA has a CAMBUS or not.
If it does, how would be the restrictions to install eletrical acessories on it? Like a comm system and a charger for iPod for exemple?
Thank you

The 1150's did not have the cambus systems. All 1200's do have the system.
You can still add accessories on the cambus by tapping a relay to the front pilot light and power off the battery.

Canbus is no problem on the R12. Like said above you can tap a relay from the parking light that does not foul the Canbus sensor or you can buy an adapter that by-passes the system.
I installed a Centec fuse holder under the seat. Added a relay that was triggered from the parking light and then proceeded to add all the farkles I wanted to the Centec with exception of GPS which is directly to the battery.
You can also trigger a relay from the wire from the accessory socket below the seat. Only drawback to doing this is that the Canbus system keeps the electronics hot for about 1 minute after ignition is shut off. Know many doing this also without any problems.

Don't let CANbus scare you. It's no big deal. I have it on my '06 GT, and I'm still running a GPS, Comm system, charging my phone, charging my iPod, all my Gerbing's, MotoLights, air compressor, etc., etc...HTH

actually some of the GS can bus systems are setting codes when you tap for a relay off the pilot (parking) lamp circuit
so far the only place not setting a code by tapping off it is the aux power plug outlet, the issue there is it stays powered up for a minute after you turn the bike off
Either tap directly off the battery or off the aux power plug is what they are saying at the dealers now
