Let me know- Weather should hold for Saturday- I'm only 15 miles from you in Hampstead.

I'm good to go...gotta take an old freezer to the dump early AM but free after that. I'll get in touch with my RT buddy. Any idea of where you want to go or just let it rip?

There are sveveral rides in the "Great Roads, Great Rides" book I haven't done yet. I just moved up here from Burtonsville, so I'm on to a new set of routes.
The one I'd like to do, is is called the "Apple and Peach Orchards of South-Central PA and Wonderful RT.233"
Starts in Westminster, goes through Keymar and Thurmont, into Waynesboro PA, and through Michaux State Forest.
I'm not set on that route, so if you have something else in mind let me know.

I have done that route with some minor changes. It's a great ride and looks like a good one to start with.
Time and place to meet? I could meet you in Hampstead and we could head over and meet my buddy in Westminster. He lives in Finksburg, right next to Westminster.
I should be able to be in Hampstead by 8:30 or so.

Sorry I missed this, but I had to get the first crop of leaves up. I did get out on Sunday.
Dave, how is married life treating you? I know a guy in Finksburg that has a red RT and after attending the Keith Code riding school he got a K1200R, which he paid for by selling a wine collection. Would he be the same friend you mentioned?

Dave,
Thanks for the note. I didn't make the ride last Sat. Wife had a long list and we just bought a beach house in SC so we have been busy planning for furniture, paint, etc.
Yes, that friend is Alan who has the red RT and the really cool new R. You won't believe it, but my late wife, Michele was very good friends with Alan's wife, Joan E, and she also did private duty nursing for their son, Zach, when he was an infant. After Michele died we lost touch with each other but I saw Alan's post on the BMWBMW board and put two and two together and got back in touch with him. We rode up to the Carroll County airport a few weeks ago. They had a B-17, a B-24 and a B-26 from WWII on display and flying. We had a great time.
Married life is very good...kids love Diana and we are doing great.
We should do a ride before snow.

I was just leaning a kid back in the chair to pierce his septum as "Mike in Pgh" walked into the shop.
Leaving the kid lay back (it's good for his constitution, let him get a little more nervous :D ) I go talk to Mike for a couple.
How long you gonna be busy, told him I had 3 people in at 12. He just grinned and said okay (more like your life sucks right now to bad you gotta work) I'm going to ride.
Hope everyone had a good time.
